1 Prepare for safe work

Park on a flat surface, apply the parking brake, turn off the engine, and let it cool. Use specified jacking points and sturdy jack stands for lifting, never a jack alone.

⚠ Warning: Do not work under a vehicle supported only by a jack and do not open a hot cooling system. Leave safety systems, fuel, high voltage, and serious brake failures to the service station.

2 Determine the condition and the cause

The engine must be cold. Check the exact type, gap, and torque of the spark plug, and photograph the layout of the coils and connectors.

3 Perform the key check

Clean the area around the spark plug before unscrewing and remove them one by one. Hand-screw the thread of the new spark plug first so you do not cross-thread it.

4 Perform the repair or maintenance

Tighten with a torque wrench according to specifications and reinstall the coils. Oil in the well, a damaged thread, or an unusual color of the spark plug require diagnostics.

? Tip: Photograph the initial state and change only one thing at a time. This will make it easier to determine what really solved the problem.

5 Test the result

Reinstall the covers and tools, check levels and warnings, then do a brief test run in a safe place. Brakes, steering, fuel leaks, or overheating require professional inspection before driving.
