1 Prepare for safe work
Park on a level surface, engage the parking brake, turn off the engine and let it cool. Use designated lift points and sturdy stands, never just a jack.
⚠ Warning: Do not work under a vehicle supported only by a jack and do not open a hot cooling system. Leave safety systems, fuel, high voltage and serious brake failures to the service.
2 Determine the condition and cause
Turn on maximum cooling and recirculation, close the windows and check if the sound changes when the compressor engages.
3 Perform a key inspection
Inspect the cabin filter, fuses according to the diagram and that the air conditioning radiator is not covered with leaves. Do not touch the cooling system pipes and valves.
4 Perform repair or maintenance
Weak flow requires filter or fan, and warm air with good flow requires pressure measurement, leak detection, compressor and flap check at the service.
? Tip: Take a photo of the initial state and change only one thing at a time. This way you can more easily determine what actually solved the problem.
5 Test the result
Return the covers and tools, check levels and warnings, then perform a short test on a safe location. Brake issues, steering problems, fuel leaks or overheating require professional inspection before driving.
