1 Check the specified ratio
Find the exact ratio on the cap, in the manual or in the technical data. A common 1:50 ratio means 20 ml of oil per 1 l of petrol, while 1:40 means 25 ml per 1 l.

2 Calculate the amount you need
Prepare only as much as you will use within a few weeks. For 5 l of petrol at a 1:50 ratio, you need 100 ml of 2T oil.
3 Pour it into an approved can
First pour half the petrol into the can, add the precisely measured oil, close it and shake it. Then add the rest of the petrol and stir again gently.
⚠ Warning: Too little oil can seize the engine, while too much creates smoke and deposits. Do not estimate by eye and do not use car engine oil.
4 Label the mixture
Write the ratio and the preparation date on the can. Do not use an unlabelled drink bottle, because it is easy to confuse the contents and that packaging is not fuel-resistant.
? Tip: Keep the mixture sealed, in the shade and out of the reach of children; hand over old fuel at a hazardous waste collection point.
5 Fill only a cold saw
Before each fill, shake the can, switch off and let the saw cool, wipe the area around the cap and fill away from the place where you will start the engine.
