⚠ Safety note: This guide involves working with plumbing. If you're not completely sure about every step, stop and call a licensed professional. Before you start, always switch off the power at the breaker or close the main water/gas valve.
1 Prepare for safe work
Ventilate the area, put on gloves, and first test the agent in a hidden spot. Do not mix products and protect children, pets, textiles, and sensitive surfaces.
⚠ Warning: Do not combine a commercial drain opener with vinegar, bleach, or other products.
2 Stop adding grease
Wipe grease from pans with paper towels and dispose of it in the trash. Do not rinse it with hot water as it will solidify deeper in the pipes.
3 Clean the strainer and accessible trap
Place a bucket underneath, remove and mechanically clean the trap if it is designed for disassembly. Inspect the seals before replacing.

4 Rinse with detergent and warm water
For minor buildup, use warm, not boiling water with a little detergent. A weak flow after cleaning requires a drain snake or a plumber.
? Tip: Photograph the initial state and change only one thing at a time. This way you will know which check really affected the problem.
5 Assemble, test, and set limits
Remove product residues according to instructions, dry the surface, and inspect it in daylight. If the stain, smell, or moisture returns quickly, look for the source of the problem instead of repeating a stronger treatment.
