1 Turn off the trimmer and clean the head

Remove the spark plug cap or battery, turn the trimmer over, and clear away grass and soil around the head. Take a photo of the cover position and the outlet openings.

2 Open the head and check the spool

Press the side tabs or unscrew the cover according to the mark. Remove the spool and check the direction arrows, dividers, and the recommended line diameter marking.

3 Measure and secure the line

Cut the length stated in the manual. With a double spool, fold the line in half or use two equal pieces, then secure the start in the intended slot.

4 Wind it evenly

Wind tightly in the arrow direction, layer by layer, without crossings or knots. Leave 10–15 cm free ends and temporarily hook them into the spool notches.

? Tip: Soak brittle nylon line in water overnight; more flexible line breaks less while working.

5 Reinsert the spool and pull out the ends

Thread the ends through the outlet holes, install the spool, and close the cover until it clicks. Pull both ends to release them from the slots and check that they are roughly the same length.

⚠ Warning: Do not use metal wire, cable, or thicker line than specified. They can damage the trimmer and eject dangerous parts at high speed.
