1 Prepare safe work
Unplug the appliance, shut off the water supply if there is one, and wait for the hot parts to cool. Prepare a dry, well-lit work surface and the manual for the exact model.

⚠ Warning: Do not chip away ice or touch the refrigeration pipes. Hissing, an oily trace, or a smell require a refrigeration technician.
2 Measure the temperature and check the setting
Place a thermometer in a glass of water on the middle shelf and wait several hours. The target is about 3–5 °C, not the coldest setting without measurement.
3 Check door sealing
Clean the gasket with warm water, inspect for cracks, and do a paper test at several points. Paper that slips out without resistance points to a poor seal.

4 Clean the ventilation and condenser
Pull the appliance out according to the manual, vacuum the accessible dust from the grille or condenser, and do not block internal openings with food.

? Tip: Take a photo of the starting condition and change only one thing at a time so you know which check actually affected the problem.
5 Reassemble, test, and set a boundary
Put back only the parts you removed safely, plug the appliance back in, and run a short supervised test. If the symptom returns, or you notice a burning smell, a leak, or a tripped protection device, unplug it and call service.
